I just finished my bag #33.  A straightforward inside-out bag, based on a Clay Smith VA bag he did back in the day. 

It's a little less-reddish brown and more brown than it shows in the photos.
 
The "octopus" on the strap is a copper accoutrement hanger crafted by a friend. 

The lengths of clock chain are for a pick and powder measure, which tuck under the flap and inside the bag when not in use.
   
The bag is 3-4 ounce cowhide, lined with 2-3 ounce suede.  The flap is also veg tanned tooling cowhide, and is smooth lined to decrease soiling in use.
 
Inside the top back is a combination inside pocket, stiffener for body, and strap anchor.  The rolled top edge is lambskin. 

Bag is about 8"x 8" overall.

The suede is supposed to be veg tanned.  It is really thin.  The front side is finished, but not great.  I buy it simply because the sueded side is so smooth and consistent for lining, and is pre-dyed dark brown.  I cannot imagine what else it would be useful for.

Jeff, the chain is “clock chain” for mechanical clock weights. Tim Crosby put me onto it. I searched online.  I am unsure of the company now, but many sell it. Even craft stores.

I got the chain that was brass plated steel. I stripped the finish and plating, and dropped it in cold blue. I rubbed that blue back a little, then shot it with clear flat lacquer.

I hope this helps. Obviously I don’t make much per hour when I make bags. Hah hah.  ;D

Classy bag ! That one shouldn’t hang around long. Marc, do you recall where you got the suede lining ? I’ve tanned a bunch of squirrel hides this summer that I would like to line with something other than cloth. Thanks. David.
