It isn't often that the excellence of a hand crafted woodsman tool is matched by the excellence of the makers character and measure.
Jerry Rice and I have become friends and I'm extremely proud to call him so. He's struggling with some family health issues and without disclosing personal details the Rice family receives my prayers. Somehow he found the time to make this item for me, an ax carrier which exceeded my expectations. From the small craft detail to the fit of my ax in the carrier Jerry completely captures the spirit and look of the period accoutrements we here all love.
Anyway here are a few pics, hope you enjoy them, by all means send prayers for the Rice Family.

It's deployed on an adjustable leather strap, across the body just behind my hunting bag
