Flintlock pistol
« on: September 03, 2020, 12:18:33 PM »
Hello,

Some time ago I became an old lock from Hans Muller.
For that lock I made a barrel.
Now I started to make a Flintlock pistol.
The lock has a place were it belongs.
It is a project to learn from. Here some pictures.

I still have to make a ramrod pipe and a trigger guard.
Later more.

Adrie

You got skills ;D
Nothing beats the feel of a handmade southern iron mounted flintlock on a cold frosty morning

Adrei,
After seeing your miniature Long Rifle builds you explained that some of the reason was due to laws in the Netherlands.  (Not that this reasoning is warranted to build such exquisite working models.) but here you are making a full size pistol.  What are the restrictions, if any for a black powder gun?
Thanks,
Michael

Michael,

Hans Muller told me:

It is all right, If you have an old lock and old barrel.
I made a Jaeger for Hans Muller using an old lock and an old barrel.
