Sandpaper organizer
« on: September 12, 2020, 05:58:53 AM »
I got this idea of organizing sandpaper from my metal working guru many many moons ago. I use a Manila file organizer for new paper and a Manila folder for paper that has been cut. When I need a piece of sandpaper I check the single folder for the Grit I need, if there isn’t any of the grit I need igo to the file organizer get the grit I need, cut what I want then the unused section gets stuck in the single Manila folder.
Cheers Richard

Great idea!  And simple, too.

I just use a drawer in my lower tool box, even that is not large enough some times.  I’m not as organized as some of you guys I guess

It'll never work.   ;-)   Shops should be disorganized for maximum effect.   :-)

Here’s what I use.  Kerf a board with a fine saw, and cut some large tongue depressors off square, and inser in kerfs. Cheap, fast, and handy

The kids got this for me for a Christmas present some time ago. It was full of paper of different grades
with individual shiefs for different granulations.

I'd probably have to paint the organizer fluorescent orange to keep track of it  :o
