Boston Massacre Horn
« on: September 27, 2020, 07:26:49 PM »
I have been working on this horn for a bit.  It is based on an original with some of my own additions.

Few more touches before it is available.

Normally, I like my horns uncluttered. But, that one appeals to me. Lot of work in that one. Great work!

Cory Joe,

I really like that engraving.  I know it took forever and made your hands sore.

I like the balance of detail and "folksy" feel to the engraving.

Nice horn color too.

God Bless,   Marc

Very nice. Makes my fingers ache just thinking about that.

WOW!!!!
I think "working on it for a bit," is probably an understatement. Clearly a lot of time and effort went into that.
As much as I like the subject matter, I have to admit, it is the coloration I like best.

Great job.

Cory, I have watched your posts since the early days of your first build. You have steadily progressed with your talent to the point I feel on day, you will be regarded highly for your work. Great job on the horn.

It is interesting the different views.  I like horns plain, or completely covered.  One of the greatest compliments I ever received was from a guy who had a horn I made for him for a couple of years.  He emailed me one day and said he was deer hunting and looking at his horn and noticed for the first time a detail I included on the map.

Thanks.

I appreciate the compliments everyone.  I used to do a lot more horns that featured a lot of engraving and small details like this one.  I do not do them as often now because my eyes and my hands don't like it.

Thank you again everyone.

I was thinking the next line would be, "He used the map to find his way back to civilization".  :-D
