Hunting Pouch / Pics Added
« on: September 28, 2020, 01:25:46 AM »
Recently made hunting pouch from walnut dyed bark tanned deer hide. Hand sewn with linen thread, rolled edge opening, welted seams, hand cut pinking, hand dyed linen material for lining, aged.

There are a lot of talented leather workers on this site.

I just like to "play" with leather. It sure is fun!

Regards,

Doug

I LOVE that bag!!!

Beautiful and nice work. Looks very believable and would pair wonderfully with a Schimmel or Southern gun.

You did real good Doug.  Like the one piece back and flap with lining providing the exposed fringe.  And, the one piece 'hanging' pocket is appealing and practical.  Keep on stitching.

That's the same reaction I had when I opened your thread!

Great looking bag Doug.

Well done!  Refreshing to see some bark tan deer without the hair.
