6/32 front lock screws

  awhile ago i read on this site about 6/32 front lock screws, fletho disgusted  this about making the r/r hole a liitle closer to the barrel channel ( a slim looking rifle) . where can these be bought?

If I were to use a .130 diameter screw I would make it a 6x40 or 48 to
get a few more threads thru the lock plate .

I've always used a #6-32 front  lock bolt because of the smaller dia  and   32 TPI is quite sufficient for the job that  the bolt has to do.....just to hold the lock in its mortice. Its also widely available. Have had zero problems using it.....Fred

Mine have been on back order with track for about 6 months.  I don’t always use them, but when the space is small they are great to have around.

I chuck an 8-32 lock bolt in the lathe and turn it down and re-thread it.

I make all of my lock bolts and tang bolts. But,I have a lathe and that makes it easy.
