Anyone know of a builder named Pappy Sulfolk.  He was in Arizona for some time.  My brother has one of his ML shotguns.  Jeff

Claude "Pappy" Suffolk.
Had a place that bordered West side of Ft. Huachuca, Az. and if I recall right bordered Mexico.  I visited him in the mid 1970's.

That jives with what I recall.  He lived on a ranch.  In a small house w/o power.

Pappy made some beautiful guns. I never met the man but I knew a few guys that had guns he had made. One in particular caught my attention. It was a half stock flint rifle with a hickory under rib. The barrel was flared and tapered. I believe it was owned by a guy in Sierra Vista.
I was told that Pappy moved to Colorado, where he died.
