All I can say is, 'Wow' and more Wow.   Great looking Jaeger and great craftsmanship Mike.

Hello Mike, and thank you for sharing this rifle.  There's an old book titled Suhler Feuerwaffen showing the very best work from the Suhl, Germany gunmakers ca 1750, including closeups of carving and engraving.  There was a guild there, and a glass plate is shown with initials of the master gunstockers.  Your initials would fit there.  This is a classic example of a Masterpiece rifle from mid eighteenth century Germany, in design and execution.

I still enjoy Plan n Perdy rifles, and various styles.  Your work has always been crisp and tight.  But I have to stop and marvel at this piece, for it's historical accuracy, and for your work.  None better, ever.  Bob

PS - did you make the lock with blind tapped screws, prior to sculpting and engraving?

Thank you Bob!..I assembled the lock first with all blind holes before any finish work.

Amazing!
So spectacular, and yet still so tasteful.  Not over-the-top gaudy.
I’ll have to go back and study that one for a while.

Very nice and Jeff there’s a lot there to study. Studying rifles such as these is a real treat.
