Small Horn I Picked Up
« on: October 09, 2020, 04:20:38 PM »
I saw this small horn and went ahead and grabbed it. I am wondering how the strap was configured? What is the best way to patch the worm damage on it?
For some reason the pictures upload upside down

If you want to take the time to do it I would say a leather or rawhide patch, sewn on and a screw for the strap. Strange set up with the nails unless maybe at one time they held a piece of leather that attached the strap.

I think you're right about the leather loop for attaching sling, Tim.

Yes, least damaging would be tight-fitting rawhide or leather sewn in place to cover the holes.

The priming horn I had was small and I carried it in my pocket so
a strap was not needed.
