Help I.D. flintlock

I'm trying to identify the maker of a lock.  It's a flinter and the only identifying marks are the letters VCD inside an oval.  I'll include photos of both sided of the lock.  Any assistance appreciated.

I was leaning toward it being a Siler.  Thank you for confirming this and putting a name to the letters.
