Hi all. My name is Amanda, I am MAC57's (Mark Critchlow) daughter. I am here to inform you all, that my Dad suddenly passed away on Friday October 30th. He always talked about how much he enjoyed this Forum. He was an avid gun collector and loved building his long rifles. My mother, my boyfriend and I want to keep his tradition alive by learning his favorite past time. I'm just wondering if it's ok that we stay on this page for future questions? I'm sure we'll have plenty. Thank you all for being a part of his life as he enjoyed reading and talking to everyone here.

Amanda we will all be sorry about your dad and I think you will soon find out why your dad loved this forum. Are hearts and prayers are with you and your family. You will be welcomed here anytime.

Please accept my condolences - I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of your dad but I'm sure that your family will find yourselves extremely welcome here.  Everyone here not only loves to yap about "old" blackpowder arms and such, but also there are many here who are exceptional teachers and love to help anyone who expresses and interest or curiosity.  Again, so sorry to hear about your dad.

My condolences as well.  I searched all of Mark's postings and didn't come up with a last name.  Could that be provided?

I’m thankful your dad enjoyed being part of this community. He must have been a great dad to have a daughter who wants to carry on some of his interests like this. Praying for peace, comfort, and hope.

Amanda, I am sorry to hear of your loss and deepest sympathy for you and your family. I want to let you know that what your Dad had to share was something very special to all of us in this community and in many ways helped us along the path we walk.  To carry on the tradition of our passion for the long-rifles is one of the things that brings us here and is important to all of us. You father will be missed as a contributing member of the ALR community.

My condolences to you and your family.  Your desire to learn about your dad's hobby and passion is a tremendous tribute and God bless him for passing it along.  I've left information and instructions about each of the rifles and fowlers that I'll one day pass to my sons and I pray that they're as sincere in their desire to hold on to memories of me as you are to cherish memories of your own dad.
