I finally got the Hawken I've been wanting...John Bergmann .47 Cal Bob Hoyt gain twist barrel Hawken. Weight is 7 1/2 pounds with a 33 inch barrel. It arrived on Black Friday...I'll remember that package for sometime to come...tippit

redheart,
I was on John's list for a .45 Cal Hawken that I expected to get by next summer/fall when he emailed me about this Hawken he was making. After inquiring about Bob Hoyt gain twist barrels, I was more than happy to get this one early. Plus TOTW and Hornady ammo is available for the .47 Cal...tippit

Very nice!
What are the outside barrel dimensions?
My Bergmann is a 54 with a 1 1/8" tapered to 1" barrel 34" long made by Hoyt and it weighs 11.5 pounds

John does nice work, and it looks like you got a looker to boot.  Very nice.  John also really stands behind what he makes, and is a nice guy.   God Bless,   Marc

I had one of his hawkens and sold it like a dummy. It was all engraved with an elk on the patchbox.. Extraordinary work..
