Can I reuse cut tried and true oil Varnish

I’m not a wood worker but I’m in the home stretch of my first build. I mixed 60% tried and true oil varnish with 40% turpentine. To do my first coat. I mixed too much and store the remainder of my mix in a small mason jar. I’m really satisfied with the current state so I am being paranoid. Can I reuse the mixture again tonight or should I remix? Will the turpentine break down the varnish and oil?

When I dilute and add dryer varnish is keeps for months.  Eventually is gets chunky, then I make new.  You can use Bloxygen to exclude air  and it should keep indefinitely.

Follow Scott's advice. I've never tried Bloxygen, so I have no idea how effective it is. You can reuse the oil mixture any time you like. It will not harm your previous finish. When ever the surface is dry, you can apply another coat.

Thank you guys! This is my second coat. I am pretty happy so far. I applied and blushed 4 coats of iron nitrate. Then applied the tried and true with a scotch brite until the wood stopped soaking it. Then I burnished with a hickory dowel sanded very smooth. Then wiped on another round of oil wiped again. Went back out a couple hours later and wiped again with a clean cloth. Cloth showed no oil. Waited 24 hours and applied again with a maroon scotch brite. Wiped it down again. After a couple hours I will go back and wipe again. I hope I am doing it correctly. I have so many hours of work in this sucker I don’t want to mess up at the end.

Your stock looks great.  I know there are contemporary solutions to your extra finish problem but here's  my solution with a historical twist.  It is my understanding that the original function of Glass Marbles was to put in your paint/finishing containers to bring up the volume of left over finish,  to decrease oxygen in the same container.  Then kids figured out fun things to do with marbles.    Have fun,  Hank

Bloxygen is the way to go. I used some in a jar of Linspeed oil that I opened at least 10 years ago. I quit using Linspeed so I thought I would just keep it around to test the Bloxygen. After all those years, the Linspeed still has not set up or thickened.

Bloxygen is argon gas.  IF you have a mig or tig welder you already have it.  Argon is heavy so it forms a blanket over the surface of the liquid.
