Ed, not bad for a first one.  Your engrailing looks first rate but your pic cut off the throat and tip area.  Did you panel the throat area?  Your engraving on the other pic you have has marked improvement since this horn.  I'm too ashamed to show the first one I still have  :-[.  Although I didn't have any engraving on it, I definitely combined too many different styles on one horn.  
Anyway, back to yours.  It sure looks like a good attempt at a folk art style horn.  We would like to see more of the base plug and the tip area though.   How big is this horn Ed?  Is this horn round or oval?  
Keep the practicing and don't try to mix styles on one horn like I did once.  Wish the internet was around then.....sigh.

Yes I did panel the throat and tip area The horn was about 10inches outside curve the base is oval I have yet to round any bases kinda like the flat end look.This horn went pretty much oval the whole way so I left it and worked with it the design was from the guys great grandfather leggins he is obijiwa sorry if I misspelled that It sits in his hunting lodge and says gets alot of compliments about it its a shame that is the only pictures I have of it ...again Thank you all i am in the process of fixing a mess I made on a good horn will post some more pics as it comes along ....

 Everybody has a first and no matter if it is your first or 50th each one is a learning experience. Looks like you are off to a good start.

Nice first effort.

I've got to get to the point where I don't ruin any.  I got too hurried and aggressive on my last start and made it too thin.  Have buck fever now every time I pick up a raw horn.
