Finished Horn
« on: February 04, 2021, 11:00:07 PM »
Recently finished this 6&1/2 inch flat pocket or bag horn. The engraving design, which I modified and added to, is from a picture of an old horn. The more I engraved it, the more the engraving pattern "grew on me".

That is Great work all around. The engraving is one thing but the architecture is outstanding, by itself the fluting on the tip is impressive in itself, combined they were made for each other.

The work is so neat, polished, and creative that words are not adequate; but what else would we expect from John.

My thanks to all of you.
Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Covid-19 confinement has been taxing for the last 10 months but I think I see the end in sight, perhaps a long way off though. Horn work has helped me survive the gloom.
Thanks again for your appreciation of this piece and you compliments.u

I love it.  I would like to see how u finish it with the plug.  Im sure it will flow perfectly.  Surprising how many horns I see with huge plugs in them.

Gorgeous work sir.  I love the architecture, the tip shaping, engrailing, and finish.  The engraving is over the top precise.  I have a good idea how much time and effort that took.  Well done.   God Bless,   Marc
