It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here , I thought I would put something out here that I’ve been working on. It’s a miniature left hand Lexington rifle I made for my petite wife for Valentine’s Day.
And here it is.

Very nice. You are a talented man. Just curious what type of wood and what did you finish it with.

Not as small as I thought it would be from title of post. Great looking rifle, really like the patch box.

You have a good eye, and excellent execution of that KY school. Great job on the box, carving, and finish. And the stripes put it over the finish line! Well done.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I really enjoy building fine flintlocks with period correctness and and accurate information on the builder and the schools they came from. It’s all of you who teach us beginners to help keep this beautiful heritage alive and thriving. If I ever get as good as some of you, I hope I never forget where I came from and how I got here and to always share what was so willing given to me. Thanks guys and gals. And special thanks to my mentor Mike Miller for contributing so much of his time to help me to become a rifle builder.
