16 bore "Griffin" I made . Started at the 2003  Gunmaking seminar in Bowling Green, KY.  Ron Ehlert's class.
These pics before it was finished. Never got more taken yet.

16 bore, 44" Getz barrel.
I do have a few close-ups somewhere.
Found a couple of close-ups. still not in the finished state though.

Not good at engraving, never had any lessons!

Here’s my 16 bore “SMS” (Southern Mountain Shotgun).  The idea was a mountain gunsmith restock, making whatever parts he couldn’t salvage. 36” Ed Rayl barrel, big Chambers English lock, black walnut stock blank from Dunlaps. I made all the hardware.

Hi,
This is the one I use most.  It is also my favorite all round gun for shot or round ball.  It is my go to woods walk gun.

About half afraid to show this one.  But it is about the nicest and best work I've done, and it's from a plank of my own wood.
24Ga Rayle barrel and a Chambers Early American lock, my own cherry tree.

Here's mine. Fusil de Chase built by John Donelson. Metal final finish is by me. It's a copy of an original 1730's fusil that he owns. 20ga with a 52.5" barrel.
