This is Miss Sally.  She has a .50 caliber, forty-four inch Colerain Barrel, a Chambers Late Ketland Lock, and a nice piece of Red Maple.  The triggers are from a Davis kit ( I now make my own set triggers).  She was built from a blank, and has a scraped and burnished finish on the wood.  All other metal parts are hand made by myself, except for screws, bolts, and the vent liner.  Both the trigger guard and butt plate are made from two pieces of soft iron; rivited, then forge-brazed with copper.  She's light, slim, and a joy to shoot.  She has also put deer meat in the freezer.

Guys,

This Lehigh was made without using any 20th c tools, 18th c tools only (except for my electric shop lights!)  It is all original wrought iron except for the three lock springs.

I couldn't get any work done from a home office from sitting back and looking at all of those guns. Nice!

It's taken a long time and a lot of effort, as most of you know, to put these together. I chased one pistol for 7 years. It's been a fun ride and I'm not quitting yet.

Miss Sally.  Built from a blank. .50 cal., 44" Colerain barrel, Chambers lock, Davis set trigger kit.  Aside from screws and bolts, all the other iron work is hand made.

This just to make all these other rifles posted look even better, if it's possible.

My favorite target rifle, .45 X 25" X 15/16".  Built by a , now retired, builder.

Former deer go-to.  .45 X 36" X 13/16".  This rifle loved deer by the dozen.

New favorite.  A .45 X 38" X "B" wgt swamped GM barrel.  Barrel re-rifled by Bobby Hoyt.

Yes Daryl it had a record book skull, tied one taken by Tom Castor I think from this forum. Bear weighed 340 lbs, was 6'2" nose to tail after I got hide back from tannery. Gun was a 58 flinter with left over parts shooting 110 gr. Swiss 1&1/2 Swiss and a 570 ball. I got lucky with this first Flintlock Bear
