Small belt pouch
« on: February 18, 2021, 11:00:51 PM »
Hi Folks,

I had a spare piece of leather where the color did not match the rest, so I decided to put it to use.  3-4 ounce veg-tanned cowhide.  4-1/4" x 4-1/2".  Will accommodate a 2-1/2" belt.  Waxed Irish linen thread. It will hold tools like a jag, puller, worm and a small screwdriver.  It will also hold a small commercial primer or credit cards, license, and folded cash.  Just a fun bad-weather project as a diversion from the main project.

God Bless,   Marc

Top notch work Marc.

Now you need another 12 pouches that size to completely outfit your "Batman Belt"!

Thanks for sharing.

Regards,

Doug

Hah,hah, hah Doug.  I need one for Bat Anti-Shark Repellant Spray.    ;D

I think it may work better when hanging from a rope ladder than a longrifle.

As an aside, my dad was friends with Adam West's brother in college.  He told me that Adam was majoring in, what else, drama!   :-)

Thanks, Marc

Perfect for what it does.  I am at a state where I am building small belt bags with the hunting bags I sell just to isolate all the cleaning gear and stuff you don't want to leave in the car during a match or trail walk.

Will you hunt with this bad boy and, if so, where is the Snickers?

Hey Capgun,

I hadn't thought about hunting with it, and you may have meant that jokingly.

Once I thought about it, I guess it would hold a few balls and patching.  On the belt would be a patch knife, and a horn slung across the shoulder.  A short day hunt.

My personal opinion is that it is pretty small for a hunting bag.  Might be a bit fiddly trying to get a ball out while balancing your gun.  I was just thinking tools or money.  Almost like a tool wallet with a strong belt loop.

The huge negative to this bag is indeed the lack of space for a Snickers.  A fatal flaw.  That said, you could pour a bag of M&Ms in it.   :-D   Lol.

One day I am sure someone will see it and say, "I have just the use for that".

Those with sharp eyes may have caught the background in my first photo. That is the tweed I used to make the "Gentleman's Haversack".

God Bless, and blue skies,   Marc
