Western NC (McKee) inspired done
« on: April 28, 2021, 05:39:38 PM »
I’ll have this as the Knoxville show Friday. Jim Parker graciously offered to let me put it on his table. This is rifle #5 for me.

Critiques welcome.

48” .50 cal Rice barrel, Chambers late Ketland, Davis triggers, my hardware. Curly ash finished with flat black spray paint, LMF honey maple, LMF Lancaster maple, and Tried & True.

Job well done Paul. I am looking forward to seeing it in person and it will be an honor to have it on my table. See you at the show.

Love the ash stock - great grain orientation and color.

Overall, the rifle seems to make me take a step back in time when that rifle came out of the water wheel-powered gunsmith shop back in the hills.  In other words, quite realistic.

Congrats on a fine job done well.
