R Gale lock kits
« on: March 11, 2021, 03:49:34 PM »
A friend of mine recently gave me 2 lock kits that were from the 70s. The maker was a fella from Michigan named R Gale. I haven't started assembling them yet, but they look nice. Anyone ever hear of Mr. Gale's locks?  Thanks

Yes he was a neighbor, co worker and friend back when I lived in Michigan. He provided lock kits and used to advertise in Muzzle Blasts in the 70-80's ish.  Oh and his name is Ron Gobileski, if I spelled it right.

They produced a nice functional lock.  I think they are all cast parts, I believe I have most of the parts for one and I built a rifle with one that came assembled.  You would be able to make one into a good performer.
