Stan Hollenbaugh ?
« on: March 15, 2021, 04:20:14 AM »
I am always hesitant to ask a question like this..... but I sent a lock back to Stan for a repair quite some time ago and have not been able to get a response to my emails for a couple of months now.  I'm not worried about the lock, but did want to ask if anyone knew if Stan was OK ?

Thanks

Dave C

Dave,

Maybe try the phone number on his website?

http://www.stanhollenbaughgunsmith.com/

I picked up a repaired lock from him at the 2020 Lewisburg show but haven't had reason to contact him since then.

I too hope all is well with him.

BarryE,

Thanks for letting me know he's OK.....with the average age of this whole group I always worry when I haven't heard from someone in a while... ;)

Like my grandson when I told him I was born before home TVs.  His response was to ask if I spent my child years in a cave!!!

I can remember when you changed the channel you would have to go outside and turn the antenna.

When I was a kid, we had a radio.  But over in Blighty, a neighbor had a small television with COLOR!  Or as he would have said, colour.

He had a piece of plastic, I guess, with the top tinted blue, the bottom tinted green.  His screen was about 12", the cabinet quite large.  Only one channel.

In the Philippines, we finally got a TV.  We had two stations, both in Manila, 40 or so miles south.  I remember best the coffee commercials, which featured a rooster crowing for his morning "Rooster Brand" coffee.

When our first grand daughter was able to understand and construct a sentence I
told her I was in the first grade with Santa Claus. She is now 28,married with three
little ones of her own and a stay at home mom.I make jokes about getting older
and will be 85 but plan to work as long as I can but not as much as I  once did.
No meds at all and my eyes are now good enough for shop work and I am VERY
thankful,
