Horn W/A Screw Tip & Butt
« on: March 31, 2021, 04:50:19 PM »
Certainly not necessary but both ends are threaded, I guess I could pin the tip. It is about 16" around the outside curve and 13 tip-to-tip. If I remember right the butt is Maple, either that or it is Cherry it is about 2 1/2" held in by four wooden pegs, it is tapped 1/2-6 for the Walnut finial. The tip is one piece of cow horn threaded 5//8-11. Color on the Horn and tip is AF, the butt has some kind of stain on it, followed by Brown wax.
