Received my Kibler SMR today

After seeing all the pictures and videos of this rifle online, I can't believe how slender this rifle actually is. The last rifle I built was 25 years ago and it only had the barrel channel inlet and the ram rod drilled, so this id going to be a breeze compared to that.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

It's a .45 caliber. Ordered on the fourth of February. The barrel has the under lugs machined in the barrel. Also came with Jim's new drill guide.
