It has been displayed at the CLA show. The rifle is a copy of a Joseph Fruwirth  Jaeger ca 1740s. Houston Harrison made a very nice detail drawing, with  details. Barrel is very short. I think the drawing may still be available through MLBS.

Outstanding work. What I find most interesting is the trigger guard and the carving, lots to study.

Yeah, that gun is SUPER nice.  To me, most modern-made jaegers seem to miss the mark in some way, but this one is certainly an exception.

I get you Jim.  Just the proportions alone set this rifle apart.

The horn (or wooden) trigger guard is very nicely done. I tend to prefer a slightly longer barrel, but concur overall with Taylor and others.
The guard is wooden, I assume as it is backed with steel.

Not sure if I’ve ever seen this piece in person, but I remember Houston’s drawings of it the original.
I love the details.  The closer you look, the better it gets.  I especially like the fore end molding that extends into the nose cap.
What a beauty!

Huston made a drawing of another Joseph Fruwirth Jaeger as well. Longer barrel and elaborate decoration.
