I think these have been discussed here before.  These are the "economy" barrels from TOW.  From the last discussion about these it was mentioned that TOW has some sort of nondisclosure agreement with the maker.   It looks like they are supplying them with a rougher finish, at a discounted price.

Having said that, I personally would not be a big fan of that rifling configuration either.  It would interesting to hear from someone who has actually shot these.

In January of 2018 I posted some of my results using one of these barrels. I can’’t seem to get the link to post for me but search my posts for ‘Loading & shooting Tracks no name barrels’ if you’re interested. Only the one picture of the rifle and target will show up if you click on the square box by the caption. Was only one example and only 10 shots but it shot and loaded just fine.

Thanks for the reply but I cant find it. my big concern is the torn patches and the tight spot near the breech. Will talk to TOW today.

It’s easy to test how a barrel loads and whether it tears patches without shooting it. Take out the breechplug. Load it. But leave the powder out  ;D.  Drive ball out the breech. But first make sure there are no burrs at the breech face where the threaded part meets the barrel. Inspect patch and ball. This will also save a lot of range time looking for that good patch/ball combo.

Glad you got rid of it.
I would have sent ti back as well just due to the land/groove layout.
