Prit-tay, prit-tay, prit-taaay awesome!  Larry David would approve.

Seriously that's a kick-*** piece.  Exceptionally nice.

Awesome David..!  Like everything you do. Well thought out.  One of the most accurate guns I ever shot off hand was a match lock.    Oldtravler

Ed, Last night I discovered while surfing Art Risers blog that I had started this project in 2012.  Ian Pratt was out here in Washington teaching a class for our gunmakers guild when he and Mary Ellen stopped by my shop to do an interview with me for the blog.  I can't believe I let this project collect dust for so long.  I think I have one other rifle in the white that has been lingering on longer than this one.  Better late than never?

Beautiful!
I keep thinking I’ll work on mine...... then something else comes along that seems more important.  Hopefully before I turn 80.

Dave now you need to make a steel helmet and breast plate to go with it. You did a great job on it now work up a turkey load for it.

And thus was the origin of the thumb-hole stock!

Really a beautiful piece, David.  Lot of work there.

I saw and shouldered this one today. WOW. Shouldered it feels like a wide butt colonial, barring the trigger of course.  David has surpassed himself.  Very cool gun. 😎
