Thank you to everyone so far for your help . I am making the pouch that Ethan made on the NMLRA craftsman corner . So far I bought needles , stitching groover some and fieblings dye . The leather i'm using is 4/5oz veg tan I picked up from the local boot and leather shop . The owner also threw in some waxed thread , seems like it's a little to big for what I need but it is working out . I already had a four prong and a single stitching fork and the thread is tough to pull through especially when I'm back stitching at the end , had to use plier's and broke on needle eye . But all seems to being going well and my stitches are straight and look good , it's a learning experience and I'm havin fun . I'm already seeing thing's I want to try next time and yes a good book would help too . Almost forgot , I made a nice little stitching pony , man that sure seems to make it a lot easier going .
