Texas pouch for Ron Clark
« on: April 11, 2021, 10:18:58 PM »
Just finished this up last week. It’s going to Texas and is loosely based on an original Texas bag shown in the Peacemakers book by Wilson.

It's amazing, Tim!  Can hardly wait to see it in person!  It turned out even better than I imagined it would, and is perfect for my use.  When I receive it, I will take a photo with the Sheffield Bowie.  Thanks so much for all your hard work!

That's a nice job Tim, I like it. I assume the star is metal and how is it attached ? I'm sure the customer will be well satisfied...

Thanks all. Frank, the star was made by Ron. It’s brass. I attached it by punching little holes in the front near the points. I put brass escutcheon pins through the holes and through matching holes in the flap and then peened them over small brass washers on the back of the flap.
Hope that makes sense.

The bag knife is an old Lamson & Goodnow table knife that I modified.  It's a good piece of steel, and holds a great edge!

YEP Thanks Tim, that makes sense. The star just screams Texas and sets it all off. That is a beautiful job as usual....

Another great looking set, TC!  Everything looks like it belongs...like it has been together for decades.  Thanks for sharing!
