Jacob Gaumer, Somerset County, PA & Muskingum County, Ohio gunsmith

I have assembled a significant amount of information on the gunsmith Jacob Gaumer, who lived in Southampton Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania before moving to Salem township, Muskingum County, Ohio. He is not recognized as a Somerset County gunsmith in the collector books I have seen, but is listed as a "smith" in an 1800 Somerset County assessment list, and didn't move to Ohio (where he is known as a gunsmith and blacksmith) until late in life. Mr. Dietle, Thank you so much for sharing your collected information on Jacob Gaumer.  I have done a little research, very little, compared to you and other people on this board. I can appreciate the amount of time and effort you must have put into collecting the information as you have shared.
I guess I now  have to add another Somerset maker to my want list.

Dave Tercek, I see now that his son-in-law (and my distant cousin) Jacob Sturtz was also a gunsmith, and I suspect that he learned either from Jacob Gaumer or Adam Lepley II back in Somerset County.
