Barrel boring/reaming bench

Hi all! I build my bench years ago from Bookies instruction it is hand driven. But when a old gunsmith buddy show me his vertical barrel boring machine I desired to rebuild my to machine drive and up from lying to standing sorry Bookie ;). The gravety take care of the feeding ;)See the photos.

Nice bench there, Runar!  You always seem to excel, no difference between a 1773 pistol and a 20th century boring bench.

Whoever got you started in the black powder, firearm building career, did a great job, and you provide many opportunities for the rest of us to learn.

As the man above stated, I wouldn't mind spending a few weeks in your shop.  Maybe I'd learn Norwegian as well; I pick up languages fairly quickly.

Yes - that is pretty cool for sure. I noticed a left hand (counter clockwise) drive.

Hi Runar, it looks very effective. The two tubes in the bottom of the picture, is that the "before and after" pictures?
Could please explain how the gravity feed works? What pulls the barrel upwards?
