Muzzle loader Building Shows and Fairs
« on: May 15, 2021, 03:55:12 AM »
Can any one suggest ML shows and Fairs where makers and builders sell their completed guns, Locks, Barrels, Parts, Kits etc.
Willing to travel, just enjoy meeting other like minded folks and admiring their talents.

Contemporary Longrifle Association (CLA) Show.  Mid August.  Lexington, KY.   I don't think it gets bigger than that.   Look on the CLA website under events for additional info and other shows.  The recent Knoxville TN show was super and a good size.

I am located near New Stanton PA.  Easy access to I70 . I just returned from the show in Martinsburg WVA and really enjoyed the antique weapons displayed. I got to handle a real flint lock pistol and was amazed at the trim lines and slender shape compared to some of the rebuilds I have seen but it was not a show for builders.

Regee, I need to make a visit to The Log Cabin Shop sometime in the next three months.  Be glad to meet you there.  I live  in west central Ohio, probably about the same distance west as you ae east.

The Kempton Gunmakers Fair is slated to happen the last weekend of July. Next year. About 5 miles from Dixon’s. The flyer was posted here just a short time ago. BJH

Howdy neighbor , I'm about 10 minutes south of you in Mt Pleasant .   There's also the Bushy Run show in Delmont but it has already passed . It's about the only "close"show for us SW Pa guys .

Yeah, that would probably be me. I've known Rege and Ace for a long time. Sad that Ace passed away several years ago.

There was always a show at the Bedford Village in Bedford PA, normally in April but not sure of the current status with covid cancellations.

Osprey, The Bedford Show was moved to Altoona, Pa. It was held in 2019, but cancelled in 2020 because of the China virus. Not sure if is going to happen this year or not.
