This one is about 16" around the outside curve and 12 1/2" tip-to-tip. The Walnut butt is narrow, about, 2 1/4" and held in by 4 Iron pins. The tip and collar are made up of two pieces nice light colored horn both threaded 5/8-11 as is the horn. Carla did the art work, her imagination and painting skills make this horn. In hand it is much nice than my lacking photo skills can show.

... Still curious if there is a "sealer" used to prevent the design from "rubbing-off" if the horn is used,.... too pretty to have the design damaged,....

Absolutely beautiful work, ..... on both the construction, AND the painting. I’d love to have one like that, but the guys I hang with would probably tell me to bring my horn and my purse.

Dang Dana I thought I answered that right after you asked it, I wonder where that went?
Anyway...The paint is a Gouache, half Water Color and half acrylic. The sealer is 5 coats of UV Archival Gallery Series Varnish.
I remember typing it because it Said it was all Greek to me, probably got side tracked and didn't hit post.

... Thanx, Tim,... I was hopeing something was used to seal the art work,... it is too pretty to have it just sit on a shelf, and way too pretty to have it rubbed off when carrying it ,... !!! .... thanx for reply,.... CCF
