If it is one of our English locks the "K" is only an assembly mark.  We build these in batches usually 30 at a time.  Some of our assemblers use letters to keep certain parts together as a unit, others use numbers.  If the "K" is on the plate, frizzen and bridle it is simply as assembly mark.
If you are able to post a photo I'm sure someone can identify the lock.

That is one of the Colonial Virginia locks we produce.  If you ever have any problem with it please let us know.

I built an early iron mounted rifle with the Chambers colonial lock.  It is fairly quick and goes off in the pouring rain or heavy snow. A Grandson has it in Minnesota

kind regards, heinz

I used the English version on a build 2 years ago.  I really like this lock, fast, and flint life is better than I expected. Got 70 shots with one flint with 2 knappings.

Thank you for the replies. This came with a pile of parts for a fowler build. Everything but the trigger. So I have to do some studying before fall/ winter when I can get to working on it.
