ALR Musuem Gunsmith: Nicholas Beyer....Perhaps his finest rifle
« on: September 18, 2009, 04:58:43 PM »
This is our second Beyer on exhibit. The fine architecture and superlative carving have cause some to believe that this is the finest Beyer remaining.
The patchbox form, particularly the finial design and his carving style are unique and identifiable of his work as his signature.

This is definitely a wonder Beyer. I enjoy his rifles and was lucky enough to handle one at the Baltimore gun show. I would enjoy seeing some more and better pictures of this gun if at all possible. Thanks for at least getting this one in the museum.
