I like how the liner ties the whole heart motif together. The pieces on the border, they look like stitching wheels, what are those called, are they traditional or your own design? And what is the symbolism behind them? Are they supposed to be stars, shining suns, or a type of leaf? A really stunning bag. Thank you for sharing.

Those are just shapes cut with a pinking iron of some type….no special symbolism to me, just like the shape as an element to the whole. But they do resemble all of those things and I’m sure that’s no accident in their design.

I used a burning tool mostly and painted them different colors.

That is a great bag Eric.  I love the folk-arty feel of that one and all of the details.   The architecture overall looks really appealing, as do your finishes.  I look forward to seeing this one at CLA if you keep it that long.   God Bless,   Marc
