18th century shot bag

This bag will be available at the Contemporary Longrifle Association show in August. It features a full internal divider, leather button closure and a die forged iron buckle with fixed and running keepers.
Strap will be custom fit on-site.
This is one of my favorite types of shot bags.

How many years and ruined hides would it take me to get that even blonde finish? That color reminds me of several in paintings from 200+ years ago. You cracked the code for sure. A gentleman's companion on a hunt for sure.
God Bless, Marc

I can every now and again produce that with a weak dye as we have discussed

Thanks Greg. Unfortunately most people have a preconceived idea of what a leather bag should look like and its usually not a London tan. Hoping this will appeal to the hard-core living historians.

I’m not going to lie. I hope that bag isn’t gone before I get there.

Beautiful. Is it a double bag or is that the strap behind it?

Keith,
The one in the original post is a single bag. The one I posted in reference to Marc's post is a form of double belt bag.
