One More Lobbed Horn

 About 11" around the outside curve. The Pine base is about 3" and held in by 3 wooden pegs. Last one for awhile.

Hmmmm, looks kind of familiar, Tim's horns are really something. I know I am prejudiced but I sort of like mine better, but whoever gets this horn has a treasure for life.

I’ve always seen them attributed to Revolution and earlier. Maybe Tim or another Horner can shed more light.

OK I looked up "Lobed Horn" so I answered my own question  ;)
Tim you make beautiful horns. I was late on the draw to get one of yours, unfortunately. maybe in the near future :-)
I had read somewhere this style was in use around the F&I War period, though I am not a historian about these. I do prefer to make them in the Lobed style also, though.

 From what I know the answers on the time frame are right. In Don Wright's tutorial in the "Book of Buckskinning  II" he calls them Golden age Lip horns from the F & I War and Revolutionary Wars.
 Of course that was written 28 years ago or so and as with everything new research may change that.
