Bucks County Features
« on: August 11, 2021, 03:34:14 PM »
Below are shown my attempts to make a BC LR look somewhat like the original BCs....using the BC features. So far have sent approx. 2 dozen free tracings off of my Shuler template that came from RCA1 and was enlarged to the stated Bplate height. So....w/ that in mind, here are the photos. Some of the details came from some well known, generous  builders and were greatly appreciated early on......not much info on BCs anywhere.....Fred

Thank You Fred, I’m not looking to build one at this time but you never know!  They are a beautiful and graceful style of rifles.

Thanks for the kind words. Not to mislead , the relief carving on my BCs is not found on original BCs...they're  all incised carved.

After awhile I finally made the form blocks for the entry pipes longer  and shown below is the result......the separate, small oval inlay isn't found on original BCs. Also, my early BC entry pipes were 1 piece....found that the 2 piece is easier to make.

Some of the original side opening  BC Pboxes had side plates....shown is my version,

Would appreciate pics of BCs built by others.....Fred
