UNDER RIB
« on: August 12, 2021, 05:27:54 PM »
I am looking for a under rib for a 3/4" barrel for a upcoming project. All I can find are for 13/16" and larger. Any ideas????

Have you called Muzzleloader Builders Supply?? They may have what you are looking for.

Well a rib for a 13/16 barrel would only be a 32nd of an inch or less too big on each side max. A couple licks with a file should get you real close

That might be my only option.

Another point is that they are 1/4" deep and I am not sure how that would look in proportion with only a 3/4" barrel,

The above should read 3/4" barrel.

Your rib thickness should match your web thickness in your remaining fore stock. With that small a barrel I would not have a rib more than 3/16 thick maybe 5/64. You can fabricate that from hardware store stock. BJH
