A Couple More Horn Strap Attachment Ideas
« on: August 19, 2021, 12:22:15 AM »
Very similar to the last two but with an adjustment at the front strap/lace point. By folding it back and through on the inside friction will hold it or you can tie a knot on the outside or inside. Two and 5 are inside views. The attachment knot at the tip is a modified "Hangmans Noose".
The lace may look wimpy but it is Kangaroo, the strongest lace for its size I have ever worked with. Thirty plus years ago I used it to braid many Bull whips that are still around today.

Nice work Tim,..I used to play with my neighbors bull whip growing up. I remember him telling me the finest were made of Kangaroo leather.

I'm partial to the second one myself. So graceful.
