Not bad for a cripple...
Carved from a plank. 45cal 44" barrel. inlayed barrel, drilled ramrod, homemade trgger, thimbles, and nose cap. Still rough and a long way off.

Just spray it with Rust Oleum, and go out and shoot - looks great!

Looking good, bro. That is a great looking gun. Love the wood too.
Don't listen to Craig, he would have you paint it battleship grey.
Lol
Best regards Dave

Looks good so far. Mostly I like the fact that you are actually making this gun yourself. That is you are not farming out the sticky stuff, inletting the barrel, drilling the ramrod channel. Good Job!

I've always wanted to try that. Maybe on the next one.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

Terry, GRAY wrinkle paint!
You ARE doing a great job on it, and I am anxious to see it when finished.

I really like the look of that piece, but I would have to get a different kind of tape for the triggerguard when you finish it. Black electrical tape maybe!!! Keep up the good work Yip.
