I purchased and installed a single set trigger into a curly ash stocked heavy barrel .40 cal flint gun in 1983. The trigger was independent of the sear trip blade. In other words, the trigger was independent of, and separate from the tripping mechanism. It acted much like my Winchester M-52D trigger...no over travel. Push forward to set and then cock the hammer. My mind thinks Pete Allen was the maker. Does this ring a bell with any of you? I'd like to use it again, but cannot find a SST with the same mechanics. TIA!
