Hi....made the wire inlay chisels out of lengths of a worn hacksaw blade...2" lengths. The blades were soft enough to form some curved tips and the tapering of the tips was done w/ a file. Mainly used the straight chisels but the curved ones were sometimes req'd. The ribbon w/ one edge filed into a knife edge is tapped into the groove w/ a length of RR dowel and the width should sit flush or nearly so .... having to file too much off results in a burr that's hard to remove. The chisel tip widths go as small as 1/16" which I used to do some lesser curves. Good luck.....Fred
