Bucks County cheek piece star?

getting ready to inlay a cheek star or maybe a floral design on a B/C and need ideas of design. i saw an early B/C with an oval, any ideas please.

HI....I've used this "leafy star" on nearly all my BCs. It's made from 1/16" thick silver so one center screw holds it in w/o buckling. The only somewhat tricky thing w/ the star is filing the draft. I drill the center hole and then form it to the cheek profile, file the draft , ctsk the hole, screw it down and use an Xacto knife to outline Very little silver is above the cheek wood when the inletting is done. The star and wood are then filed smooth. The engraving is done after polishing w/ the star out of its inlet.....Fred
