Butt Cap Retainer?

I just recieved the pistol lock and parts from ezzra.  Can some one explain how the butt cap retainer is supposed to be installed, how does it work?  Where can I find some pics of a twig officers pistol?  I tried trs and had no luck on the web site.  thanks  scott

Without pictures  it is hard to tell, but some of the butt caps have a retainer that goes through the butt cap and up into the stock where it is held by a screw under the trigger guard.

There are pics in the for sale section where ezra had them up for sale.  The screw under the  guard makes sense, I have not seen one apart and had no idea how it worked.  thanks

Here is an original that has a retainer held by a funky screw pin arrangement.

I have a butt cap and retainer from TRS for the Potzdam pistol.  The stud of the retainer was originally split and the tongues would have been driven into two diverging holes bored into the end of the butt to lock the cap in place permanently.
