I added a third section to add a "coin pouch" sort of arrangement, complete with Deer Antler button. Looking in the scrap leather bin, I found what I needed and had the urge to be crafty today. After a few hours work ...

Nice KIT Mike! Much more than a flint wallet.
It's a tool case for camp.

Thanks. I’ve got a Possibles Pouch in the works as well. I’ll post some pictures as it nears completion.

Several asked about the dimensions I used. Below is a quick, but not complete set of instructions, with measurements. One thing not mentioned in the instruction is adding the button on the pocket. You just have to make sure the button hole in the flap is long enough to close when the pocket is empty, as it as it is when it’s full. This allows the flap to slide open more as more is inserted in the pocket.

You might get two of the original ones quoted in the article, but I’d doubt they would yield the 13+ and 17” long pieces necessary in my design.

Fun fact: I repurposed a 20 y/o leather couch!!! ROTFLMAO  Actually, the couch got replaced and I couldn’t bring myself to throw away 6+ square yards of glove leather. I call it “upcycling”.

Well thought out design and use of repurporsed leather to achieve a nice functional piece.
