Louie Parker Muzzleloader Article

I can't say enough about the work shown in Louie Parker's Muzzleloader magazine article.  Does it get any better than this?!
Marvelous Louie.

Louie is also a fine gentleman. He shares his knowledge with all who ask. He is one of the old guys, has seen it, has owned it or if he wanted it he could make it.
I am honored to call him friend.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

Couldn’t agree more…
I’ve only spoken with him a handful of times both in person and via text, but he helped me out several times even to the point of disassembling an original longrifle to take pictures of a mechanism for me.
I haven’t yet seen the Muzzleloader article but I’m definitely looking forward to it.

Louie does some really great work. He built an Armstrong rifle that wasn't in the article. I seen it at the CLA one year and thought it was an original at first. His hand made locks are some of the coolest and most interesting parts of his rifles to me. I hope he builds some more master pieces to share with us.

Louie is a true Master Craftsman. His attention to detail is remarkable as well as his ability to recreate the detail. He is a fine gentleman willing to share his knowledge with all and he will be brutally honest if you ask his opinion of your work, which is the way it should be. I am glad I asked.

Louie is coming to the Alabama show next week and I am looking forward to seeing him and the treasures he will bring.

I agree with all Bama and others have said about Louie. Great guy and he does extraordinary work be it new or restoration of an old piece. Look forward to seeing him at the AL show.

I was reading that article and was also truly amazed by the rifles, particularly the Philip Creamer inspired rifle. Then again, I’m truly amazed by the work of many of the craftsmen posting on this very thread.

Louie is very creative and a true mechanic. He can look at just about anything and visualize and analyze and figure out how to make it. He is the mechanic and the natural rolled up in one. I'm not saying this because he is my friend, but he is the gold standard just as Jim Kibler.
