RESCHEDULED TO FEB. 26 - ALR Winter Get-together **Location change at the Park**

There is a problem with the heat in the building we had reserved, so our meeting has been moved to the Recreation Building in the Campground.


Due to predicted snow and conflicting events, I have rescheduled this event to February 26.

The management at Ft. Boonesborough State Park, has agreed to let us use the "Tavern" Blockhouse at the Fort this year for our annual ALR winter get-together.  We will be meeting on Saturday, January 29 February 26, from 9am to 4pm, with a break for lunch at the Waterfront Grille.

All ALR members and anyone that's interested in the collecting, study, building, shooting, etc. of long rifles, horns, bags, knives, etc. is welcome.  Please bring works in progress, recently completed pieces, antiques for discussion, items for sale or trade.

In past years we've had from 10 to 15 attendees, but we can accommodate more, and we always have a great time, so please come and join us.  We usually try to have some tutorials or demo's lined up, so if anyone has any tips or how-to's they would be willing to pass along, please let me know.

I'd like to get a rough head count, so I can let the Fort know how many tables and chairs we need, so please let me know if you think you will be attending.

Well I’m not able to be there after all.  Got to go to Muhlenberg County for a birthday for family member.  80 years old. Sure hate to miss it.  Hope you have a great turn out.

Well boys, the ranks were getting pretty thin (and after the snowmaggedon of 3 weeks ago, I'm skeared of being trapped in the snow), so I called the Fort and they we're able to reschedule our meeting to February 26.  Hopefully we will have better weather and everyone can make it.

And cut out all this talk of copperheads.  I'm skeared of them too.

Greg, my wife is from Paradise. Their homeplace was bout by Peabody Coal Co.
Tim and Stoner, I guess I’m in trouble snake wise, lost most of my sense of smell years ago. Lost all of my good sense years before that. 🤪🤪
Saw the new date, hopefully I can make that one.

Ron, as far as know I should be able to make it on the new date.  I’ll see if I can get Charlie to come along.  He was considering coming this week but didn’t like the weather forecast so maybe he’ll come in Feb.
